CHRISTOPHER D. O'REAR, M.Div.,M.M.F.T. Chris O'Rear received his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. He is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and holds the Tennessee license as a Clinical Pastoral Therapist. Chris was ordained in the Baptist church in 1994 and is currently endorsed by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. He worked as a hospital Chaplain and as a youth alcohol and drug counselor before coming to the Pastoral Counseling Centers of Tennessee. Chris has experience with issues of grief and loss, life transition, relationship and marriage issues, and families with parenting issues. He has knowledge in issues of addiction, families and adult children of alcoholics and depression. He is also a clinical supervisor for Pastoral Counselors in Training. Chris is a fan of Titans football and Predators hockey. He is an admirer of most forms of popular music of the last fifty years. He spends much of his free time riding his motorcycle, doing home improvements and spending time with his family. Chris is a Deacon and adult Sunday School teacher in his church. He is the Director of Clinical Services for the Pastoral Counseling Centers of Tennessee and he sees clients in our Nashville and Franklin Centers. |
