Kennard is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church.  He holds a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University School of Divinity, a BS in Sociology from Tennessee State University, and he is a Certified Pastoral Counselor. His Clinical training includes Pastoral Care Specialist and a residency in Pastoral Counseling at the Pastoral Counseling and Consultation Centers of Tennessee, Inc.  He is a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the Tennessee Association of Pastoral Therapists. Kennard works with individuals, couples, and families at the Nashville center. 

Kennard is currently the senior pastor of Seay Hubbard United Methodist Church in Nashville, TN.  He enjoys vacationing with his family and playing golf.
