STEVEN D. GILLESPIE , M.Div.

Steve Gillespie received his Master of Divinity cum laude from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC in 1978. He did post-graduate work in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of South Carolina and at Converse College. Steve is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Tennessee (#605) and South Carolina (#1389), a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (#3930), and a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. Ordained in the United Methodist Church Steve has 18 years of pastoral experience. He is presently endorsed by that denomination and appointed by the South Carolina Annual Conference in Extension Ministry as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Steve coordinates the Murfreesboro and Brentwood Centers. He enjoys couple's therapy and relationship coaching most of all. He works well with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and parenting issues. Steve and Susan are married 33 years and have three grown children. They enjoy hiking, dining out, and reading. "Pastoral Counseling to me", says Steve, "is doing therapy with a pastor's heart.''
