Download Application

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is practical theological training for persons in pastoral ministry. It is suitable for religious leaders, lay persons, seminarians and others who have a sufficient degree of theological knowledge to benefit from it. Ordinarily for a Residency, we expect a Masters of Divinity Degree (M. Div. or equivalent), ordination or endorsement of faith group and a previous unit of CPE. For an Extended Unit, we also accept qualified lay persons and students. Most working in the Intensive Summer Unit are either seminary students or others on sabbatical. The Residency and Summer Intensive Unit are full-time. Applicants for all positions will serve on-call time and will need transportation. There are certain other health screening requirements of each institution which must be met before actually beginning the placement.
